PHP is part of the web world for some time. I remembered when I first start learning PHP, many voices said it is not good enough, it is not "enterpriseish", it is just for small projects, and so on.
Years passed, and big companies started to use, at the same time more and more frameworks appeared, frameworks that are not toys at all.

It seems PHP plays nice with others, there is no fundamentalist point of view regarding PHP as opposed to the rest of the world. Maybe the other way around, still some people don't trust that PHP can deliver.

Rich Interne Applications kick in, and all sorts of AJAX frameworks evolved resulting in PHP and AJAX sites. You can create RIA applications with Flex and AIR as well, using these technologies where they are best suited: PHP on the server, and Flex or AIR on the client.

This session will introduced Flex and AIR to PHP programmers. From
what is Flex and AIR, and why should you care, to how you can use existent tools to create these types of projects, and how you can talk and send data back and forth between the server and the clients.
